Mechanisms underpinning flourishing at the interface of humans and other natural entities: A systematic abductive umbrella review
Human flourishing is a multifaceted conception that integrates both subjective and objective components and occurs at both individual and collective levels. Human flourishing is not defined by the absence of any given dimension (e.g., disease, disorder), but instead emphasizes growth and development across multiple areas of life (such as psychological, social, physical, values-related, and environmental) and the lifespan, reflecting a holistic and inclusive approach. As a result, flourishing profiles will likely be mixed; for instance, some dimensions may be emphasized more than others, and thresholds within certain dimensions may differ across different life stages, individuals, and collectives.
